Fabulous Had a fab tour with Daniēle who shared her extensive knowledge about beavers and how beneficial these eco engineers are to our waterways.
We did some natural foraging as the beavers would do as she pointed out other birds and wildlife in the area.
We saw a number of beavers swimming up and down the river, some coming within meters of our position.
Thank you Daniēle and we will return

Enjoyable, informative evening We really enjoyed the Beaver Safari, we walked down to the riverbank after an introduction from our very knowledgable and enthusiastic guide, Daniele, and with the rain helpfully stopping, the beavers were spotted after a short walk along the bank. The peace and quiet of the setting, birds singing and the stillness of the evening made for a very pleasant couple of hours, learning about the beavers, and seeing them swimming and playing, much to the delight of the five people in the group. Good value. Bring wellies or walking boots/shoes, if wet it will be muddy, binoculars are helpful too.

Riverside walk with beavers putting on a show We had a great tour with our guide Joan who was very well informed and enthusiastic. We were out on an April evening with lots of house martins (?) wheeling over the river as it neared dusk. Beavers were initially elusive but got more active and easier to spot as the light faded. Lots of opportunities for photos
Tips- stay very still! The beavers get spooked easily by movement. Wear warm clothes and be prepared for rain, consider bringing a picnic blanket or something else to sit on. Wear sturdy shoes/boots ideally. But trainers might be ok too depending on the weather. Dark clothes probably best. All of these things will be in the email when you book.
Suitable for kids and older ages as long as they are ok on slightly rough though generally level ground, fairly safe near river banks (sometimes steep) and able to sit still and quiet.

Informative. friendly, and we saw beavers! A lovely calm experience with a great tour guide and eventually the beavers floated by. What a wonderful way to spend an autumn evening.
