Celtica Wildflowers

  • We started our sister company Celtica Wildflowers in the summer of 2014 to supply Scottish wild flowers in pots and plugs to people who wanted to improve their gardens or parks for wildlife. Recent clients include Scottish Natural Heritage, Kew Gardens/ Grow Wild, Tayside Biodiversity Partnership, Friends of Riverside Nature Park, The Woodland Trust, The Conservation Vounteers, Edinburgh Council and Clackmannanshire Council.

Celtica Wildflower plants are grown organically from Scottish seed – supplied by Scotia Seeds or sustainably harvested in Perthshire – always using peat free compost and in recycled pots wherever possible.

Pond and wetland plants and wildflower meadow plants are our speciality – our best selling wildflowers are the Bird, bee & butterfly meadow mix and the Pond Edge wetland mix. As well as supplying larger orders we have a Pond Starter Box and a Wildflower Meadow Starter Box which are great to kick-start your wildflower project. These consist of:

Pond Edge – 2 trays of Pond edge mix  (each tray has 6 plugs containing a number of plants), 2 oxygenators, 3 bare root and 1 large, 1 medium and 2 small pots from a variety of Yellow flag, Water mint, Lesser & Greater spearwort, Water forget me not and more.

Wildflower meadow – 3 trays of Bird, bee & butterfly mix, 1 large pot and 5 small pots from Valerian, Bugle, Harebell, Birdsfoot trefoil, Kidney vetch & more. These cost £50 plus delivery,  Contact us to make an order.

We have seasonal variations so please get in touch to discuss your order. We offer a 5% discount on orders of £400 or more.

We also supply willow kits for growing willow domes and living willow structures over winter and spring – these are ready for harvesting in late winter. We can work with your school or group to make living willow structures. Please contact us for kit prices and designs.
