Only a few days to go until the Nature of Scotland Awards! We are really pleased to have got through to the finals of the Business for  Nature category and look forward to seeing old friends and finding out about all the wonderful work for wildlife that is going on across the country.

It’s easy to be downhearted about the lack of action for nature here and worldwide to address both the climate and nature emergencies but do watch this inspiring film by Scotland The Big Picture – it’s on YouTube for just a few more days – it might help you feel a bit more optimistic.

We have been awarded TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Award for the fourth year in a row – Travellers’ Choice, formerly Certificate of Excellence, recognises businesses that earn consistently great reviews. Travellers’ Choice award-winners are among the top 10% of listings on Tripadvisor and honours select accommodations, attractions and restaurants that consistently demonstrate a commitment to hospitality excellence (beaver excellence in our case!). Thanks to everyone that has left a review for us with TripAdvisor or Google as it does make a difference.

Our pond volunteer days have been great fun and have made sure that there will be areas of open water for amphibians to spawn in next spring. We will have a few more volunteering days to work on other ponds in late winter so keep an eye on this page and social media if you would like to join us.
