Happy new year! We hope you had a relaxing break and have a very happy, healthy and wildlife-filled 2025.
To celebrate the new year we are offering a 10% discount on our Winter Beaver Safaris in January and February – use the code WINTER10 in the discount box when booking and it will be applied on the payment page.
The dates of our Beaver Canoe Safaris are up on the website now – we are running them on Saturdays again and the dates are: May 17, June 7 & 28, July 5 & 26, August 2 & 23, September 6 & 20

We have continued to get 5 star reviews for this tour and it has been described as ‘Best Christmas present ever’ and ‘One of the best wildlife experiences in Scotland’ so we are confident you will have a great time. We saw beavers on all except 1 of our Beaver Canoe Safaris in 2022 & 2024, and all except 2 of our trips in 2023. They are a combination of fun paddling (with nothing too challenging but there are a few areas of excitement) and wonderful wildlife watching.
In our last blog we were excited about getting through to the finals in the Business for Nature category in the Nature for Scotland Awards. We didn’t win but we are chuffed to have made it to the finals, plus we had a good night out and met up with lots of old friends. It was brilliant to see all the wonderful work going on across the country to help nature, with lots of inspirational projects. Plus our friends at Highland Boundary and Bamff Wildland and Ecotourism both got Highly Commended which was great. Here we are enjoying the wine at the Awards!

We are running the Tayside Ponds Project (Phase 4) again this winter, with a number of volunteer days to help improve ponds across Perth and Kinross for wildlife. If you would like to join us then the dates are: 14/ 16/ 21/ 22 Feb and 2/ 14/ 15/ 20 March. Locations are still to be confirmed but will be around Perth, Blairgowrie or Abernethy. There will be more details on the Perthshire Wildlife Facebook page over the next few days so please have a look there if interested.
That’s it for now! We look forward to seeing you this year and hope you have a very happy 2025.
