We are very lucky to be working again with the Tayside Biodiversity Partnership who have been granted Nature Restoration Fund money from Perth & Kinross Council/ the Scottish government to manage another phase of the Ponds for Puddocks/ Tayside Ponds Project.
We will kick start this phase off with two volunteer days in Blairgowrie – we’ll be at the Elm Drive pond on Saturday, 2nd of November and at the Lidl pond on Friday the 8th of November. Both of these days will involve removing vegetation from the ponds to create a balance of open and vegetated water, as well as planting native wildflowers for pollinators.
These days are usually good fun, but you will need your wellies and waterproofs as they will be damp and muddy!

We will provide tools, biscuits and some amphibian and water invertebrate ID & training. Please let us know if you’d like to come by emailing taysidepondsproject@gmail.com with your phone number, just in case we need to cancel if the weather is really awful/ in case of illness.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
